Understanding Roles and Permissions in ExpenseMonkey

ExpenseMonkey offers two main roles to manage your workspace effectively:

1. Admin/Manager

  • Role: Responsible for setting up the project workspace, inviting users, and exporting reports.
  • Permissions:
    • Full Access:
      • Projects
      • Expenses
      • Reports
    • Settings Access:
      • Organization settings
      • Users and groups
      • Expense categories
      • Account settings

2. Member

  • Role: Files expenses within the workspace created by the admin/manager.
  • Permissions:
    • As a member, you can create new experiences and submit them (including leaving a comment). You can also resubmit if your expense was rejected.
    • Members cannot change any of the organizational settings or create new projects and categories.
